The one with the box of chocolates

Confession. I struggle with overeating.

It comes and goes. It depends what I have in the house. In fact, there are some things I can't keep in the house.

An example of that is just after Christmas, when my solution to getting all the chocolate our of my flat, was to eat it all in one sitting.

The same happened this weekend when I was left unattended in the flat with the most delicious box of chocolates. Instead of just having one at a time. Nope. Half the box one night, half the box the next.

The conclusion I came to was, that I have been experimenting recently with fasting, and eating patterns. Basically, bollocks to that. It just isn't a good fit for me.

I have been trying to not eat til midday, then I have lunch, and when I come home from work at night I'm basically like a pacman going through my fridge and cupboards. Nope. Just nope.

I have an amazing friend BP (not the company, those are her initials) helping me through my mindset of eating, and basically its back to page one, think about why I did it, how I felt, and trying to hit that off switch.

I managed to do it today, I stopped eating before it got uncomfortable at lunch time, then made an aubergine curry for dinner and I don't feel like scooby snacking.

It’s back to 3 meals and fruit for me tomorrow. I'll report back as to how I get on.

Would you believe that when I'm not working, I don't really think about food, but when I am working, I totally think I always deserve that latte on the way to work and I will be honest and say that Greggs is a HUGE downfall for me. Awwwww man. I'm not denying myself but I need to be honest and dial it down.

I KNOW that I binge when I haven't eaten enough protein, or I'm thirsty, January was a practice month, right?

Whats your thoughts folks?

I love food and I'm not beating myself up over it, but the points made in the article below, particularly, eating without distractions, is a huge one for me.

Onward.
