What is your recipe?

Something that we all hear a lot of in January is.... 'So, what are your New Year Resolutions?' and to be honest? Whatever.  Why give yourself destination syndrome of 'when I do this, get that, weight this, do that, I'll be happy/happier'

I'm a bit done with that.

How about figuring out a year round recipe for you, that works?  One that you can continually feast on, and feel great about?

Just to give you an idea, here's a bit of what makes me the person that I am, and I feel good about how I'm put together..

Weight lifting!  - at least 3 times a week but I don't beat myself up if I miss one

Sleep - at least 8 hours

Water - I thought I was drinking 2 litres of water a day, nope.  Now I measure it out..

Preparing my own food - I managed to put myself off food that I saw as a 'treat, take aways and McDonalds.  I don't say 'Oh I shouldn't have that'.  It's more like 'I really don't want that'.  Ew.

Spending time with friends - What's not to like?

Not drinking regularly - One glass of wine and I turn into Mary Poppins

De-cluttering - Look up a book on it by Marie Kondo... thanks to Lianne for this one

This is what works for me. If you are going to make any lists at all make it one that you like, instead of one that starts with ' I should...' and kind of not feeling that great about it at all...

Be kind to yourself, there is only one of you.

Go get 'em tiger.
