UK Workers Are Rooted To Their Chairs

An article in this months People Management magazine published by the CIPD high lights a report by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) in which they state that British staff are damaging their health by not taking sufficient breaks and working in the same position for extended periods of time.

One in four people said that they feel discomfort from working in the same position for a long time, and half of those interviewed said that they worked through their breaks because of workload.

Ann Green, chair of the CSP, which is launching a Fit for Work campaign said that there is concern that overworking and not taking breaks is actually costing employers and their staff
